Our retreat was founded with the intention of providing guests with a peaceful getaway to relax and unwind. Bowen Mountain Retreat hosts, wellness, yoga & meditation retreats, women's retreats, sound healing, nervous system restoration experiences, leadership and team offsites and nature based workshops. Meet Louise
Your curator
Louise has been practicing yoga, meditation and pilates for over 20 years. She has a doctorate in nature conservation and is a passionate advocate for the healing power of nature.
Her mission is to provide a seamless experience for retreat hosts. As well as a safe and supportive space where people can connect to nature and a deeper understanding of themselves.
Louise grew up on the property and has intimate knowledge of the region. She has lovingly crafted Bowen Mountain Retreat into a haven for like minded creators to create healing experiences. The house was built by owner Louise’s father and filled with original artworks created by her mother. Louise’s parents lovingly planted the gardens and forests on the property to support wildlife and create a sense of peace. It’s Louise’s dream to share with you the beauty her parents created.
Certified Nature Reserve
More than a retreat, Bowen Mountain retreat is a protected landscape shaped over generations through conservation, care and a deep respect for nature. Bowen Mountain Retreat is a registered wildlife sanctuary that supports diverse wildlife including swamp wallabies, koalas, bandicoots, and possums. The retreat is known for its abundant bird life including parrots, rosellas, gang cockatoos, pink and grey galahs, black-tailed cockatoos, and rainbow lorikeets.
The property has a passive solar design that is warm in winter and cool in summer. Water is supplied by two large rainwater tanks. We have 2 fireplaces with wood sourced from the property. Green waste is composted and nurtures the gardens. We believe that nature has the power to energise and rejuvenate the body, mind, and spirit.

Boasting breathtaking scenery and refined luxury within a natural landscape. The venue features a panoramic valley and mountain views, a magnesium pool, infrared sauna, lush a gardens and forests with walking trails.
The venue includes 6 generous bedrooms with luxurious furnishings, light filled gathering spaces, indoor and outdoor dining areas, 4 modern bathrooms, 2 fully equipped culinary kitchens, and facilitators room.
The Wellness Room
Our spacious wellness space captures the morning sun through large windows that overlook the valley, gardens and pool creating the perfect place to set your intention.
It comes fully equipped with mats, blocks, bolsters and straps. The space features a range of lighting options and is climate controlled year around with an fireplace, ceiling fan and air conditioning.
